When swapping seats (e.g., for racing Recaro seats), you only need one emulator for the passenger side. Airbag360 emualtor will solely clear codes related to the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor. Depending on your car's specifications, if your original seats have airbags, you will also need to bypass those.
Important before purchase
Ensure your vehicle's airbag system issue has been correctly diagnosed. Airbag360 emulator specifically resolves fault codes indicating a passenger occupancy sensor malfunction (B1018 / B1019)
- 2009 & 2019 Visually inspect the original Occupancy Sensor (OCS) connector.
Ensure it has 3 wires in the following colors: Red, White, and Brown.
This visual check applies to both the beginning (2009) and ending (2018) compatibility years.
Please note that the wire colors on the car's side of the connector may differ from the wire colors on the OCS sensor side .
Refer to the connector image and its location shown in our product gallery for visual guidance
Note: If you are unsure about compatibility with your specific vehicle, please use the contact form or email us at info@airbag360.com.
Installation Instructions:
- Turn OFF the ignition. Locate and disconnect the original occupancy sensor connector (3-pronged) under the passenger seat.
- Connect the Airbag360 emulator to the original sensor plug.
- Turn ON the ignition and start the vehicle.
In most cases, the Airbag warning light will turn OFF automatically after installation.
However, in some instances, you may need to clear stored fault codes, depending on how long the malfunction was present and where the code was saved in the vehicle's memory.
We will also provide you with instructions on how to manually erase fault codes and how to disable the seatbelt reminder light that may be triggered by the occupied signal sent by the emulator.
(The emulator simulates an occupied seat.) Therefore, the airbag will be armed, and the car will prompt you to fasten your seatbelt.
