Before Purchase:

  • Visually check sensor  connector *
  • Ensure your vehicle's airbag issue has been correctly diagnosed. Airbag360 emulator specifically resolves fault codes indicating a passenger  presence  sensor  (B0074   or  b0081-0f )  
  • Compare the two available Acadia emulators 

*GM utilizes different part numbers , across the same model year for a given car, likely depending on the trim and specifications. As we do not have access to a VIN database for part number verification, we strongly advise a simple visual check. By comparing the connector shape and wiring color, we can ensure correct fitment and compatibility.

Look under the passenger seat. Please note that the sensor connector does not come directly out of the floor; there may be a similar connector nearby on the floor, but it is not the one you're looking for. The correct sensor connector is attached to the seat bottom with a metal clip. Its outer shell is black with a purple insert. On the sensor side (female connector), the wires are white, yellow, red, and brown. For reference, we have included a picture of it in the product gallery. If you are unsure, please send us an email, and we will gladly verify and confirm which airbag360 emulator you need for your truck. You can also compare the two available GMC ACADIA  emulators  to your truck setup; this simple visual check will ensure you order the correct emulator for your vehicle.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Turn OFF the ignition. Locate and disconnect the original occupancy sensor connector (3-pronged) under the passenger seat.
  2. Connect the Airbag360 emulator to the original sensor plug.
  3. Turn ON the ignition and start the vehicle.

In most cases, the Airbag warning light will turn OFF automatically after installation.

However, in some instances, you may need to clear stored fault codes, depending on how long the malfunction was present and where the code was saved in the vehicle's memory

2007 GMC Acadia (4 Wire Sensor) - DTC B0081 Passenger Presence System

I called 2 GMC Dealers and they estimated between $800 - $1,300 to resolve this issue.

I ordered the 2007 GMC Acadia (4 Wire Sensor) Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor Emulator from Airbag 360

Note:

It Does Not Disable the Passenger Airbag, but rather will fire the Passenger Airbag weather or not someone is in the Passenger seat.

So, I still have Airbag protection for my Passenger.

It Costs approximately $88 includes Shipping to the US. I received the emulator about 5 days after it shipped.

With the Key off, I Unplugged the Passenger Seat Sensor connector, Plugged-In the Emulator (connector was exact fix), turned the Key On, and Whoo la . . . We are Good to Go!

Took me longer to "Find" the Seat Sensor Connector than to fix the issue 😊

Was Not necessary to clear the DTC, just installed the Emulator and it cleared the fault when I turned the Key On.

Could not have been any easier.

My wife Thanks You Very Much and she is thrilled that she can continue to drive the Acadia for a while. She loves this car 😊

I love being able to fix it for less than $100

2008 GMC Acadia (4 Wire Sensor) - DTC B0081

Our Acadia popped up several airbags codes. All were easily fixed except for code B0081. I tried several checks. Not having upholstery tools, I didn't want to take the passenger seat apart. For safety deployment of airbags, I tried this plug in. Amazingly it worked. The B0081 code disappeared. The passenger seatbelt light did come on. The light was turned off by using the seatbelt clipped in. To keep the seat beats in reach for someone entering, a seat belt extender was buckled into the original seatbelt clip. I recommend this by pass for anyone having trouble with this code.

2007 gmc acadia boo81-0f ,sensor worked great..

Recieved my emulator today and with key off i unplugged seat sensor and plugged airbag360 emulator then turned on ignition and no more service airbag light on display and no more airbag light in the cluster,.worked great im very pleased with this purchace...thanks to all at airbag360 ..
